I had my cystoscopy and x-rays last wednesday. Because the stone had passed, there was no need to continue with the surgery and i never had a stent put in, so yeah!!!

However, it's 6 days later and now, both of my sides hurt. I still can not lay on either my left or right side....and it was my right side that had the stone problems, not my left. now i feel like i have lower back and side problems on both the left and right sides, which i never had before on the left and the only time i had it on the right, was when my stone first happened in october, but the pain was much worst then it is now.

is this normal to have back stiffness/soreness/pain on both sides after this procedure? My boyfriend keeps saying, as long as it's not too severe, not to worry, but at the same time, it bothers me, because i can't sleep properly at night. i can't sleep on either side, i can't lay on the sofa, i'm stuck, sleeping on my stomach and laying on my stomach on the floor in the living room. is this supposed to happen???

also, my bladder is feeling better and my urethra area, but if i shake my leg or my butt (when i'm sleepy, first sign i'm ready to sleep is my butt shakes, don't ask me why!), i start to feel a twinge or a spasm in my pubic area. is this supposed to be and if so, how long till that starts to go away?

maybe i rushed myself to recover to fast. my surgery was wednesday and by saturday i was out grocery shopping and monday i was back at work....but i was expecting to feel 100% back to normal...and right now, i would say i'm at maybe 80-90% normal. if only my back would go away, then i could deal with the bladder spasms.

any ideas at all????

No idea. A good question for the doctor. I have pain in the side that the stone was in only. And I have a stent till the 23rd.

I'm nervous about going back to the urologist though, scared he might say he missed something and we'll need to do surgery again or that it's possible something else is wrong.

My boyfriend keeps telling me, i'm not young anymore, takes time to heal...i'm only going to be 30 in 2 weeks, i'm not 90! and he also said, because i am obese, which i am, that my weight could have an effect on my quickness to recover.

but what's also weird, once in awhile, i'll urinate and that's fine, no burning, no problems, but then i'll automatically feel the need to go again. this lasts 10 minutes or so and then usually goes away. it doesn't happen all the time, maybe once a day, usually in the evening. i have no idea what or why that is happening.

i thought i'd be perfect by now, but i'm not. i need answers!
