I have been having this constantly. Whenever I stand up, or sit up but usually when i stand up, my eyes start to filter black and i feel dizzy and uncordinated. I then feel like im gnna black out! I have never blacked out before but have come close a couple times. I get scared when this happens. It happens alot too. Is this anemia?? Or is this soomething totally different? Anyone hve the same problem??

hello,
i have anemia, and i suffer from these "about to blackout" episodes too. it almost always happens when i sit up or stand up, no matter how slow i go to help the blood get to my head it always happens. i do actually black out occasionally, always when i am doing exercise of some sort (i did it once when riding a horse and i blackout sometimes at marching band practice). you might have anemia, you might not. maybe you just have that balance disorder... im not sure what it is but something like where your head moves the fluids in your ears never balance out your body correctly. i would see a doctor, and maybe get some blood work done to see if you do have anemia.

When you go from lying dow to sitting...or sitting to standing...and you feel dizzy and light-headed, it is usually termed orthostatic hypotension...meaning you are experiencing a sudden drop in your blood pressure. Try to get up much slower...and dangle your feet over the side of the bed for a minute or two before you decide to get up. I have anemia and also get dizzy and light-headed at times. I'm still in the work-up phase to determine the exact cause, although I do know my red blood cells are abnormally small....anyway...good luck!

Yes, sounds like low blood pressure. Getting up slowly is good advice. Should have the cause checked out though. Are you eating ok? I ask this becase my blood pressure was really low when i had anorexia.
