Are there any known side effects of spirulina? The only thing I can find on it is nausea and stomach upset, is there anything else? Thanks!!

girlygirly, I am just being introduced to Spirulina, so I don't know about the side effects. I am thinking of buying some and trying it in my grape juice and this special peanut butter "mud" I have created that includes almond butter, flax seeds, and stevia. It tastes okay, especially if you put honey and keep the almond butter % to a minimum. Any other thoughts you have on Spirulina?

I would suggest blue green algae instead. I take it and have been told it have more nutrients than Spirulina. Also it doesn't have any side effects, that I know of. It gives good energy.
