Feed back please in treating anemia which is responsive to iron suppliment therapy. Fortunately that is what I have. Floradix has not caused side affects, but I never checked out the blood reading to see if it affected the numbers same as other supps.

Which suppliments have given the best results (changed your blood count upped it)with little side affects?

Have many of you tried Floradix?

Hi IlaRose, I have been taking maximum dosage Floradix for 3 months now (since diagnosed with severe iron deficiency anemia brought on by years of heavy periods, a miscarriage, and a strenuous workout schedule). I love it and I THINK it's working. My regimin is Floradix in the am and pm WITH iron citrate pill (25 mgs.) and vitamin C. I try to eat raisins and dried apricots in the day. Reply to me here if you'd like to communicate more. Susan.

I wasn't sure if this posted. I've been on Floradix for 3 months and will get my new blood work done in two weeks and will let you know! I anxiously await whether or not it works. Susan

Ilarose and soo:

Just wondering what is better about this medication as opposed to regular iron 325 mg. 3x a day therapy. I too have anemia/borderline anemia which is due to heavy menses and need current best treatment options. Thanks.

Hey jazz,

Floradix is an organic brand of Iron in the form of gluconate. It is advertised to be more readily absorbable than the Iron Sulfate that is inorganic. The Slow Fe causes constipation and has to be converted by your system for absorption and only 2 to 10% is absorbed at best. The organic types absorbs 20 to 70% and don't constipate you.

Floradix is put out by a Company --Flora, Inc., located in the state of Washington and comes in a liguid form(8-1/2 & 17 ounce sizes) and also being a liguid is suppose to be more readily absorbed than a pill.
It can be bought online at a discount from a number of distributors.

Although I have never taken Floradix --- I have taken other organic iron brands that don't have side-effects!!

Harry
