The government clinical trials site is useful for learning about the latest theories and treatments for various anemias. The participating centers tend to be those with most expertise in these diseases.

The Merck manual has the most comprehensive listing of normal laboratory values for blood work, blood gases, meds, etc. for adults and children. This massive textbook is available at medical/science reference libraries and is also accessible for free online.
