Just over 2 weks ago I had an upper left lobectomy. I had stage 1b nsclc. The pathology after the operation shows that I am cancer free. The surgeon thinks I should do a followup of chemo because of the large size of my cancer (3 by 6 cm). He will defer to the oncologist on that decision. I would like to know if a chemo follow up is common with stage 1b and what the long term side effects may be.
