Hello,
As I have posted before I have bulging discs at c4 and c5 with a spur at c5. It seems if I get too tired or sometimes for no apparent reason I get severe pain in my shoulder and neck with shooting pains into my jaw and face. I have MS dx 9 yrs ago. I also have contractures in that shoulder muscle. Does anyone have suggestions about how to help the pain. Is there a pain med that I could take regularly ? Any info would be helpful..
Thanks,
Kathy

Hi there!
I don't have MS so I don't know if this medication can be taken by you or if it will help you. But I was an MS suspect and my neuro is a National MS specialist. She helped me with similiar pain that you described. Can you ask your neurologist about the following treatment:
Celebrex 200 mg taken 3 times per day and
zanaflex 2mg (a low dose), taken 2 times per day.
This is relaxing, deals with those pesky muscle spasms, and definitely takes the bite out of pain.
Let me know if that was helpful.

Thanks for your answers. I am sorry it has taken so long to answer. My Mom had surgery and I have been tied up out of town with her. I will certainly ask about the meds u mentioned. Sometimes the pain is unbearable. Thanks again, Kathy
