Hi, I'm just not sure where to put this. Cause I don't know what it is. Ok I'm 27 years old. And in the pasted 2 years thing are falling apart, at a high rate. I fall down stairs 2 times in Dec. I fall over toys, over the carpet, over the dog. I drop things, it is like my hand or finger just don't have the strength. I'm getting so weak, someday I can't even open a soda bottle. I'm afraid to carry my 2 year old, for fear that I will drop her. Memory, I don't have one. I can't remember anything, how to spell words, things I'm doing, my kids b-day, ect. Gets worse with stress.
If I have to go to the bathroom, I have to go right now (2 mins) if that, no joke. I have dry skin, not just in the winter. My eye sight is getting bad. Going from close to far thing it takes awhile to focus. My eyes are so sensitive to light, sunlight, car lights, even lights in my house. I don't drive much at night cause I can't take the lights. I'm so tired all the time, no energy.
Walking upstairs, I get out of breath. But I'm 150lbs, out of shape, and I smoke. But I have steps in my house and someday it is all I can do to walk up them. My hands and feet are always cold. I can't every get them warm. My teeth are breaking.
I feel like I'm in a 80 year old's body. I don't like doctor cause they look at you like it is all in your head. But I wanted to see if there is something wrong or if it is in my head. Maybe I am just lazy, clumsy, and forgetful.
Thanks, Kenzie

You need to get to a doctor ASAP and see what is wrong with you. If that doctor won't listen to you, then go see another one. Doctors work for you, so "fire" them and see another one until someone takes you seriously and runs some tests on you. Don't give up! How long have you been experiencing these symptoms?

As for being out of breath, that could indicate asthma. I have it, and I know I get out of breath after climbing stairs.

Please let us know how you are doing, but my advice is to see a doctor and keeping seeing them until someone listens. Take care and God bless.

Yes, you definitely need to see a neurologist to be tested. If the cause can be discovered and treated, you'll possibly remedy some of those symptoms. There are tests that the neuro can perform at the first examination to determine your grip strength, gait, reflexes and also the neuro can order lab/imaging as the specialist deems. Be prepared to answer questions about your medical hx with regards to illnesses, fevers, accidents, and family hx.

Good luck and be sure to make an appt. so you can get medical care, possibly get better to enjoy your 2 year old! :)

Hi, I went the are family Doctor on Tuesday. I went in and he said to me what do you think you have? Hello that is what I came to you for. So he did all kinds of blood work. And said maybe I have the start of MS. But They don't test till you are 40 or so. Which is a bold face lie. All the test came back normal. But white blood count is alittle high. Still waitting on lyme test to come back. Also he said it could be depression.

If his diagnosis or words conflict with anything you are feeling, my advice to you is to seek out another doctor for another opinion. You can also ask your family doctor to refer you to a neurologist, or find one on your own. I am not suggesting that you keep going to doctor after doctor to find the diagnosis you are looking for, but to go see a neurologist to find the answers to the questions you still have.

Good Luck!

But sometimes it takes seeing doctor after doctor, even neurologists. Especially if tests come back negative, yet the person is still having symptoms. Doctors work for us, so if we're not happy, then on to another one. :)

I agree. The last neurologist I went to just did the tests in the office and since those were ok sent me on my way. Wasn't concerned with doing an mri or anything else. By the way, does it mean anything if you can't do the test where you close your eyes, tilt your head back and touch your nose? I do sympathize because I have been having the same problems with no results. Most of the times, I would just drop things, stammer my words, and walk crooked. This last time this happened I also was extremely dizzy and I could barely walk when getting out of bed, and extremely tired, so I feel as if the last episode was the worst I had so far.

1cshell.......sorry you are having trouble, too. It is a shame that you weren't sent to get an MRI.

While I am on the subject, please insist on having a complete MRI series (brain, c-spine, t-spine) with and without contrast. The images are very different. You can see active lesions with contrast.

I hope you guys can get the help you need.....fast!!!!
