I've been to a doc a couple of times and my BP was really high. 145/75 I believe. I went to the emergency room the other night because I messed up my knee. BP-160/93 Heart Rate-128 The triage nurse said it was pretty high.

I am 18 years old and I exercise ever so often. I am about 5'11, 235 lbs. I have a muscular build and my diet isn't the greatest. I have panic disorder and am currently taking Paxil. I guess the ultimate question I'm trying to ask is:

Should I worry about my BP with what I just told you guys?

Josh,
145/75 is not super high. It is higher than it should be but that is not danger land yet unless that is the range all the time. When your body is in a lot of pain your BP will go up. I would not take into consideration the ER reading but if it continues to be higher than 130 on top or 90 on bottom then you should take to your PCP. Heather W.

Josh,

Don't worry about it till you have to. Yours is still ok and NOBODY has a normaal BP when hauled into an ER unless he's unconscious.

To lower it to really NICE levels drop 20 or 30 pounds. Muscular or not, 235 is too high for 5'11" unless you are a competetive bodybuilder.

Paxil can fiddle your BP a lot AND cause weight gain (which always raises BP.)
