I have been having fortnightly iron injections for two - three months. My ferritin level has gone from 6 to 12 in that time. Ny doctor says that is not significant and i have to keep having them.
Can anyone share with me the progress they made with these injections ?
Also I would appreciate any feedback on how long some of you received these injections for ?

hi bindy,
i dont have answers to your questions, but i wanted to know more about iron injections. do they help raise your haemoglobin levels? what is the rate of increase like? i am anemic and my haemoglobin is at 9.5 and i am thinking of getting the iron injections if they will help.
i am on iron, folic acid and b12 supplements, but my haemoglobin is always in the range of 9-10.5. when its below 10 i feel extremely weak and just sleep my life away .
any information would be appreciated. like do they
have any side effects and are they painful? also how often do u need to have them?
