If someone has oral herpes and it get transmitted to someone else's genitals. Does that mean the HSV1 became HSV2?
Also if a person has HSV2, but not oral herpes...can they still kiss someone or give oral sex to someone?

HPV1 and HPV2 are two different types of herpes, and never become each other. But you can have HPV1 on your genitals (or anywhere else on your body where the virus gets a chance to enter) and you can have HPV2 on your mouth or face (or anywhere else, etc.) It's a common misunderstanding that HPV1 occurs only on the mouth, and 2 only on the genitals.

If you have any type of herpes on your genitals only, you cannot transmit it with a kiss, unless at some point you get it on your mouth. It is possible to reinfect yourself at another site--for instance, you touch the site of an outbreak down below in order to examine it, then you immediately (the herpes virus will die fairly quickly in the air) rub your lips, which are cracked and chapped--bingo. You've probably just gotten it orally.

I believe what you're referring to is HSV-1 & HSV-2. HPV is something TOTALLY different.
