Does anyone know if anemia is linked to behavior problems in children? My 6 year old carries the thalsemia trait and she is on and off iron supplements. She has some impulse issues and behavior problems at school. They required me to have her tested for ADHD, which she does not have. She sleeps 12 hours a night, and her hair and VERY DRY and falls out easily. The thing is that there are plenty of good days just as there are bad ones, and I am wondering if there is a link. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
