Hi, whenever he check her HBP in the hospital using mercurial spygmo normally it rangeS 110/80, 120/90 or 130/80 (bet 9-11pm)but when we uses our home reli-on Bp monitor his blood pressure ranging from 143++/100(around4 am).it scares me coz he had an aneurysm.Why is that? Which one is more accurate?

It depends....a deaf doctor get rotten readings with a stethescope and sphig(mercury) but an at home unit gets bad readings with a bad battery or a sleeve put on wrong....


BUT a 4 AM reading on awakening is VERY OFTEN going to be the highest reading of the day no matter WHAT method. Check again at 8PM in front of the TV!

If in doubt take the unit to the hospital and do a side-by-side comparison.
