I have always been "small" but since I have been diagnosed with anemia, my weight had increased about 18 pounds! Has anyone else had this problem? I have become depressed because of it. I can't seem to lose the extra pounds--I am 37 and pretty active. Now the Dr. tells me to slow down because my Hemoglobin is an 8 and my Ferrous is an 5. Slow down?? I dont want to gain more weight!!!!!

Between my anemia and my bleeding, I have cut out almost all activity and I have gained about 15 pounds. Whenever I exercise, I lose even more blood and I am weak, dizzy, and very short of breath. Those seem like signs that my body wants me to stop, but I want to lose the weight, too.
