I'm curious to know if anyone who suffers from any kind of anemia, thallassemia trait in particular, has also been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
That is my experience and I'm searching for answers. I had a near-total thyroidectomy with a diagnosis of papillary carcinoma 7-28-03. Have since started on synthroid. My thyroid lab values are showing that the synthroid is working (doing what it's supposed to do), but I am still so fatigued, exhausted, unable to concentrate, etc. Symptoms of hypothyroid are similar to symptoms of anemia.
Anyway, just wondered if there's anyone out there in message board land who has had similar experience and mine. I've been posting and reading the thyroid disorder forum of this health message board and have received a great amount of information and support.
