Hi hun,
May I ask what medication you are taking? Some medications can cause sleepiness. I know for me, my Klonopin makes me sleepy. Xanex used to make me sleepy too. I sometimes feel like my head is real heavy. My body feels awake, but my head is just so grogy that all I want to do is sleep.
The feeling of dying is from your panic. I used to get this real bad. When I was first put in the hospital, I didn't sleep for days thinking that I would die in my sleep. But, just remember this......it will pass. You will be okay. I know it feels like crap, but it won't harm you.
I know it's easier said than done, but that's the honest truth. Panic also causes chest pains too. I get them every now and then. It shoots down my arm and sometimes I feel short of breath.
I hope you feel better soon hun. Try to get some rest. Everything will be okay.

A lot of medications cause drowsiness, fatigue or lethargy. But also it could just be the anxiety. I know when I have a bad panic attack I feel tired for 2-3 days afterwards. What medications are you refering to?
Start slow and don't be so hard on yourself. If you need to sleep, sleep!
hi, i am taking anarex. i m still feeling lethargic....
when i was at the gym today, i could feel that my heart was beating very fast. nearly freaked me out.
also, i always have that feeling that i need to burp but i cannot burp it out. then i will panic cos i think that i m going to die...i have lots of problems and fears. i cannot get a bf too cos i think i worry too much that noone will be able to tolerate me.

Dear paxy,
I don't know how much you are over weight since you are taking a medication to loss weight, but you are in sort of a catch 22 situiation here. When you panic, your blood pressure and pulse rate is going to go up and I can see doing this while exercising to loss weight would really be the pits. I am only making a suggestion here and it only applies if you are 100 pounds over what you normal weight should be. If so, have you considered gastric bypass surgery. I know this in itself seems scary but you will lose 50-60 pounds during the 6 to 8 weeks of recovery. This surgery can be done with just a few slits instead of a major cut now so you won't have a huge scare to deal with afterwards. By losing this amount of weight, you will be able to exercise an if you panic you will be at a lot less stress on the body if your vitals go up. You can exercise at lower levels to achieve more results also. You may have heard some horror stories about this surgery but you will find that most of those cases are people that do not follow the eating procedures after the surgery and stretch out their stomachs again. That is the concern of this surgery, that you must stay with the plan of eating after the surgery. As you loss weight and exercise at a regular but lower level you will gain the strength and energy to motivate and probably lose the fear also. This is just a suggestion and you have to be around 100 pounds over weight to be considered for this type of surgery or maybe your panic concerns would qualify you. If you do not fall into this catagory then I would say in my opinion that you should consult your doctor about the problems you are having trying to exercise. I could motivate with the best of them while having panic disorder and being on a pretty heavy dosage of xanax and an anti-depressant until I had a medication mishap a couple of years ago. I think you need to slow down and try to get a handle on the fear of panicing. Talk to your doctor, don't leave him or her in the dark on what is happening while on this medication. Good luck
Sincerely,
Sickman :)

Hi hun,
I also had trouble burping. I have Gastritis, which is a swelling of the stomach. I can't take PPI medicines, which are Nexium, Prevacid and such, so the doctor put me on pepcid. You can find it over the counter and your local Walmart or Pharmacy. It will help you to burp and settle you stomach down. Talk to your doctor first though to make sure you can take it and good luck.
P.S. You can take your pulse when you feel your heart beating fast. Time the beats in a minute and let me know what it comes out to be. Also, if you are exercising, your heart beat will be higher.

With my Gastritis, I feel a discomfort in my tummy. Especially when I eat the wrong foods. You should be glad that you don't have any discomfort. I think a little pepcid will do the trick. It could be the foods you are eating too that is causing this. Do you have any food or liquid coming up in your mouth after you eat?
