I feel the sysmptons are too intense not to be taking something for it. If you read some old threads, you'll see everyone, has some sort of method/treatment to lessen the OB's. IE:anti-virals, vitamins, OLE, garlic oil, aloe gel, etc. Go back and read as much as you possibly can. I think knowledge is best as far as trying to get a grip on this lifelong virus. Hope this helps, -Orn

I take nothing, I am in a spot right now where I cannot let anyone know ..(beside my husband) He is the one that gave it too me, (oral sex).. I should have known better he had a sore at the time..... anyway we have been married over 25 years and have been so lucky not to pass it on to me.. My luck ran out :(

I dont take anything but just take could care of myself. I have HSV-1( genital) and ive never had any outbreaks that I know or aware of, but I heard HSV-1 is not as severe as having type 2

I really don't take any Prescribed medicine. Only supplements have helped me not getting Obs.
I had a goal that the damn virus was not going to rule my life. I can't get rid of it from my body, but it will not control my life because of it.
For me, Monolaurin, Viraway, DmSo and vitamins C and Selenium have helped me to keep damned virus at bay.
Get something to boost your immune system. That is the trick. A strong Immune system will not allow the virus to rule your life, trust it.

Until this year I did not ever take anything--sometimes I put a little chlorine bleach on it to help heal the sores, but that was still in the last 3 years (I've had it 14 years.) Since my ob's were getting more frequent, I found this board and began trying different things. For most of those years, h was not a big problem, had ob's maybe 2x per year.

What always kept my ob's at bay was being as healthy as I can, which means lots of backpacking, walking most the day, eating well and not too much, sleeping with the sun, and finding the peace inside me. I haven't been able to backpack much lately, and so I am not nearly as healthy as I used to be.

My partner and I had our first outbreak approx four years ago and have been taking olive leaf tablets ever since when we start to get the feelings or I take them aroudn period time and it always clear up within 24 hours..... hardly ever get the blisters only if we don't start taking the tablets quick enough. We should take them everyday but keep forgetting!!!!!

I only take vitamins but I have HSV1 which is supposed to be less severe than HSV2 (and indeed I do not get many outbreaks nor are they painful).
