jzzlvr13 03-09-2001, 05:21 PM I have an appointment for my first synvisc injection on Monday and wondered if anyone had tried it and what the results were. I'm hoping for some relief in knees. thank you Maggie May 03-12-2001, 12:21 PM I had the series of three injections in my right knee. It's been 2 weeks since the last injection and I do seem to have some relief. I wouldn't say that it's pain free, but it does feel better. My range of motion hasn't increased, but I'm hoping that in 2 weeks, when I start PT, it could improve. My impression is that it works best on knees that don't have too much arthritis. Good Luck! jzzlvr13 03-14-2001, 02:26 PM Thanks for the information. The first injection was a breeze..no pain and no aftereffects. No relief either but I understand it takes a while. I hope you get good results as the weeks progress. I read of one person who didn't get any relief for four months and then it just kicked in. I guess everyone is different. I had a cortisone injection recently and the pain was gone in a matter of hours...but just lasted a week and a half. Here's hoping and thanks again. barbara |
