Hello!

My best friend has had Bulimia for over 2 years now, and only recently she has started self-harming... and I think it's time she gets help once and for all - she has been putting it off for too long.

I need some advice... what can I do, where can she get help from?

I'd be really grateful for any advice!!

Cheers,

Joe xx

Joe,
There is not a lot you can do unless your friend wants to get some help. I would suggest that you study up on EDs and try to understand them as best you can. There are many good sites that can give you tips on helping a friend/loved one through recovery. Also continue to tell your friend you care for her and want her to get the help she deserves. Many with EDs and those that self harm often don't believe they truley deserve to get better. She needs a lot of reasurrance and love. If you could get her to post here or maybe at least read a few it can often be helpful for her to understand that she is not alone in her ED, many of us have battled and recovered from them. Hope this helps.

Take care
