What is the "normal" range for a pulse? Also is your pulse rate the same as the second number of your blood pressure? Like 120/80...would the 80 be your pulse rate? Thanks! :)

The normal range of the heart rate can be in the 40s for the physically fit, some marathon runners are even in the 30s, up to the 80s. I am talking resting heart rate. Blood pressure reading has nothing to do with the heart rate.

No, your pulse rate is independant of your blood pressure. It only indicates the rate at which your heart is beating.
Regarding blood pressure, as blood is pumped through your body, it exerts pressure on the walls of your arteries. The systolic blood pressure (that's the top #) is the pressure against these walls when the heart contracts, and the diastolic blood pressure (the bottom #) is the pressure when the heart relaxes.
