You're averaging 121/71 on this regimen.
And looking good!!
When/how are you going to start weaning?

Lillian, its likely that you will continue monitoring during and after weaning...

Are you going to go off of Toprol with your physician's knowledge?

When I came off of that one, I started with one week at 25 mg daily (half dosage), then the following week, it was 25 mg every other day, and finally in the third week-no Toprol.

You might feel some effects as you drop down each time; specifically, expect your resting heartrate to increase a bit. For me, it was most noticeable about 3 days after I quit completely. I also noticed that my maximum exercise threshold increased substantially. The best analogy I can give you is that it was like somewhat took the chains off and I could now run at full speed again, as opposed to that attenuating effect from the action of the beta blocker on the heartrate.

I feel great as well. Should have new insurance in a few weeks, so I will go to a new clown (I mean doctor).
