I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that when they eat more salty foods than usual they put on a pound or two on the scale. I have been exercising / dieting according to my regimine, but am two pounds heavier this morning than yesterday morning (and it's not that time of the month lol)! The only thing different about yesterday was that i drank a LOT of salty chicken broth (only 5 cals a serving, but very salty) Other than that i stuck well within my daily cal allowance. I remember my college roomate complaining about salt making her bloated / retain water, so i was hoping to get some more info here... thanks!

salt has been known to raise blood pressure and it will cause you to retain water which is giving you those two pounds. Its best not to weigh yourself every single day. YOu should check every week that way you arent stressing over 2 lbs. I use to check everyday and I was getting disappointed on some days. Now I check every week and im happy with my results. I've lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks just by exercising everyday and by avoiding food after 8:00. Good luck !!
