Hi, my name is Melissa, and I have a friend who is trying desperatly to lose weight... For the last two weeks, she has been doing to slim-fast thing, you know, where you just eat slim-fast bars, and the slim-fast drink. Well, after the first week, she had lost 5 pounds, but of course that was just water weight. But anyways...this week, she weighted again, and she had gained 3 pounds, which means that she has only lost 2 pounds now since the beginning. She did'nt cheat or anything like that, what would make her gain weight while eating next to nothing???

The same thing happened to me. I lost six pounds in the first week, but gained four back that weekend! But I didn't get discouraged. I kept going. I have since lost nine pounds in three weeks and feel incredible! (I posted about it today). You're only supposed to loose one-two pounds per week, so her weightloss was healthy. Tell her not to get upset, as long as she keeps up what she is doing, she will loose the unwanted weight...I promise! I'm a walking commercial for it!
