Hi All, I was diagnosed pre-diabetic in Sept. and went on the glucophage 500 mg. my numbers went from 41 to 11, and was recently re-tested and they are up again to 16. My doc increased the dosage from 500 mg. to 1000 mg. per day. I've been extremely HUNGRY and could eat a horse, and have been craving lots of sugary foods. I'm wondering now if my insulin levels are too low perhaps? My fasting sugar levels last month were 84 (I've heard that norm is 80). Any suggestions or help here would be appreciated. Thanks! Deb

glucophage delays digestion and usually makes people feel less hungry
