Hello everyone - I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia, on top of CFS, Epstein-Barr and multiple back and neck problems. I was wondering if anyone could give me any good advise.
Today I am having a lot of back pain and weakness in the legs. I have areas around my ankle and are my shin that feel bruised and painful to the touch. I get this every now and then, out of the blue, and then it just disappears. Sometimes its on my arms, sometimes upper back or legs. I also get really bad dry mouth, so much that it keeps me awake at night. Among other symptoms, sore throat, painful swollen glands, pain in wrist - not to mention back pain and neck pain. Every day it's something different.
My doctor put me on Lexapro a few months ago for CFS, which he believes is a form of depression. I have to say it has helped me a lot. I sleep so much better at night. I believe a big part of the reason I have this now is due to so many years and years of insomnia. I'm wondering if I could have lower levels of seratonin - anyone else have experience with this?
I am open to hearing all stories - thanks in advance.
Renee
