I have had an OB now for about a month. Just as one goes, another comes up. I am getting sick of this now, and the Zovirax cream im using (which is not very effective) is costing me a fair bit. What is a reliable treatment for supressing the virus? I am seeing someone at the moment, but I dont want to get intimate with her until i know I have this under control, so something to help would be greatly appreciated.
All the best,
Adam
PS: The oxygen treatment sounds great, but Im not sure if you can get it in the UK, and even so, both of my doctors said it was dangerous and could degrade your cells after a while...

Adamuk -
Try boosting your immune system, I take a mutvitamin, Lysine, olive leaf extract, garlic oil tabs and vitamin - c daily. When I feel a tingle, coming on, I spray "down there" with an aloe vera spray gel. It stings for a moment, but it really seems to help.
I was dx. in 10-03, and have had an OB, once a month, right before my period. But, they seems to be less severe each time. I'm not sure if it's what I'm taking or if it's the time - going by, is lessening the effects. But, it's getting better. I feel I'm taking better care of my body, lowering my stress and making sure, that I get at least 8-9hrs. of sleep per night. Hope this info. if helpful. Good Luck, -Orn

I think sleep and relaxation (or stress reduction) is the key. Everything else can help, but it seems if I get very tired or very tense, I'll get an ob no matter what else I'm taking.
