I am going to the doctor next week to get a prescription for medication for what I assume is depression. I have always had low self esteem and been very shy, but I get moments where I feel very depressed about how I look, how my life is going, etc. Even as I have these moments, I know in my head that its silly, but I can't help it. The longest lasted several weeks, with appetite loss, crying at odd times, etc. They can be triggered by stupid things too, lilke a pair of shoes not fitting. I would like them to stop, because not only are they annoying me, but they are now beginning to affect others around me. Paxil is not a drug i want to try, due to the side effects that are most common.(i know side effects will occur with the use of all new drugs, though. But I'm not thrilled about the aspect of the sexual side effects Paxil causes) I was hoping to try Wellbutrin as i have heard good things about it and know some people on it who have been helped. Is there anyone out there who had similar problems and who were helped with medications?
