I am in Biology of cancer class at my university, and every week we have a tutorial where we sit around and have a discussion on some topics relating to cancer. Last night we got on the subject of "personality causing cancer" (as suggested by a researcher my professor read about). At first, I thought, this was not something that would cause cancer, surely. However, one of my classmates spoke up agreeing with the statement.

This is what she said. Her grandfather was diagnosed with muscular distrophy and the doctors told him he only had a few months to live. This was in addition to being a diabetic. several YEARS later he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and these doctors gave him only 3 months to live. Three YEARS later he is still alive and strong, and bearing these diseases. How did he do it? Going back to the topic of discussion in the tutorial, my classmate suggested that it was his very positive and life-loving personality that has allowed him to go on. By not getting down on himself because of his misfortune he has been able to prolong his life a great deal.

So my advice to everyone who reads this. BE STRONG, BE POSITIVE, LOVE LIFE AND LIVING, ALWAYS BE HAPPY. DO NOT LET THE CANCER OR ANY OTHER DISEASE GET YOU DOWN. IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE END AND YOU WILL PRIVAIL! :-)

Just on the side, my classmates grandfather has apparently become one of the oldest men in history to still be alive with muscular distrophy. This is the power of a positve attitude and a happy go-lucky personality... So maybe cancer cannot be caused, per se, by a bad personality, but a good one can certainly enhance you life. :-)

Cheers,
Sooster
