Hi All,
Two questions for everyone. I have recently started with a new partner. I have been performing oral on him and have noticed two little bumps near the head of his penis. He said they've been there forever. I don't think he's lying, but what could these be?
Second question: I have tingling on my left labia but can find nothing there. The tingling has been going on for a few days. I have HSV1 and am worrying a bit that during my last outbreak I coulkd have possibly spread it to my vagina. Is it possible to have it there, the only symptom being tingling?
Thanks for your help!
Take care.

Flesh-colored bump that last could be genital warts, which aren't as cauliflower-like as regular warts. He should have them looked at, because that is also an infectious virus. But some penises just have bumpy areas on them. Y'know?

Do you think you may have been careless enough to have rubbed your mouth and then, like, scratched down below? Or washed your cold sore with a washcloth, and then immediately washed your bottom? Or towelled in that order? If not, there's not much chance you could have spread it. The virus dies quickly as it dries, and soap kills it quickly, too.

It is possible to transfer the virus, and tingling can be a symptom, but I wouldn't jump to any conclusions.

Thanks for your reply!
The bumps look like two small hard pimples. The are pretty much symmetrical on either side of his penis. He was recently examined there and I supposse nothing was mentioned of them. I was just curious as what they could be.
Thanks again :)

That is exactly what my guys looked like.....and it in turn was herpes....he said he had always had them...I went to my OB-GYN, back in Oct. and was diagnosed, by a swab test and tested positive....Afterwards, I approached him and he went for testing, (blood) and tested positive....He said he was dx., some 17yrs. prior and never had an OB, @ a clinic and he didn't believe them, thought he was mis-diagnosed. So now we both have it....but, it's not the end of the world (I'm learning that) and it could be alot worse. It's just something else we have to deal with....So, it ain't nothing but a thing....He's very supportive and shows alot of concern....once he got past the "thousand apology stage". He felt very bad and still does, but he's there for me, no matter what. I would recommend you both see your doctors during an outbreak...just to know for sure....The not knowing is what can kill you, it can make you think all kinds of things. At least knowing you can deal with it. I hope this info. was helpful and remember...we're all here for each other...so, you're not alone! -Orn

Hello Ornament :)
Thanks so much for your reply. I have just a couple more questions. He was very recently examine for stds and the bumps were present at the time. However, I can only see them while he is erect. I suppose a doctor could not have seen this? Just wondering.
Also how long did your husband have the bumps? My guy says they been there for years. I didn't think an outbreak could last so long. Does your husband have any other symptoms i.e. itching, burning etc. ?
Thank you for your support and answers :) This is a very sensitive little subject, but thanks!

Just one more thing. I've read about pearly penile papules. Is it possible to have just two?
Thanks :)

My "guy" says the bump has been there for years, on/off. We've been intimate for about a year, now. Before we knew what it was, we used to joke and call it a "speed bump". (warped sense of humor, I guess) It's more noticable, when he's semi/fully erect. But, he has never complained of any pain or discomfort. (I've read that OB's are more of a problem, in females.) But, he is a manly-man. We just abstain whenever, I'm having an OB. He feels sooooo bad, that he gave it to me, that's he's willing to do anything to make up for it. (Guilt-perhaps?) Even though, there is nothing that we can do about it at this point. But, he's always making sure, that I take my vitamins and my anti-virals, get plenty of sleep and doesn't cause any extra stress in my life. So, what more can I ask for? I agree this is a sensitive subject...ask any questions, that you want...we are all here for each other, that you can count on....Take Care, -Orn

You say "near the head of the penis." Where the shaft meets the head most men have pearly penile papules. Small bumps that look like you describe. Some of the bumps are more pronounced than others on some men and even more pronounced when erect. They never change and are not sensitive. They (pearly penile papules) are perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

Hi Lance,
Thanks very much for your reply. I think the bumps are most likely papules, but my question is it possible to only have two or three? Most cases I've seen present multiple bumps. Thanks:)

PS Thanks too ornament for all your replies and support

I don't know if two or three is normal. I have them all around the glans with two or three that are bigger, more noticeable and a little redder. From my personal experience and the research I've done it seems that any bumps that do not hurt, are not sensitive or inflamed and that persist for a long time are just bumps. Generally the penis is full of them if you look close enough.

Thanks very much for your replies. I think this is probably the case. Just some bumpiness. He's going back to the doctor for something unrelated and said he'll ask just so I have a little peace of mind.
Thanks for all your help though :)

Those two bumps are perfectly normal. They're right at the tip of the head on the under side where things sort of come together right? One on each side? I'm a guy and have had them all my life, always wondered what exactly they are but there's lots of little aspects of the penis that pose the same question : )
