How rare is herpes inside the mouth, can your antibodies prevent it? can you get it in your throat?
how bad can oral herpes be? My bf has it on his mouth can i get it from kissing even if there is no sore? (shedding?)
Kissing him is or was one of my favorite things ..is lips are so soft, and now I'm afraid to touch them. I'm terrified of being covered with H from head to toe.

Does he have ob's a lot or hardly ever? Some people have one every 5 years or so, and I'll bet they aren't shedding in that time.
You know, we can't tell you what to do. No matter who you kiss, there's always a chance you can get h; there's a big chance they have it and don't even know it. I myself would go ahead and enjoy my honey's lips, except during an ob (I would expect him to tell me not to kiss him if he felt something funny), and figure the risk was worth it. I might be strongly motivated to keep my lips healthy--lots of lotion and chapstick to avoid cracks in them where the virus may enter.

This is the first time I've noticed a cold sore on his lip. I'm just being paranoid. it's like i want to spray my self and every one around me with lysol now. I was already a little germ-a-phobe to begin with, I think i'm starting to turn into Monk or something. This of course i know has to stop. and lots of people have cold sores anyway so you are right absolutely. i guess i'm still on this emotional roller coaster, firts shock, disbelief, shame, embarrassment, sadness, anger, now i'm on paranoia. :D
