I recently read that taking a Calcium Supplement helps in the aide of weightloss, if you take atleast 1200mg a day. Has anyone else tried this?

first of all, depending on age/average calcium food intake, calcium supplements are usually recommended anyway and most people don't take enough calcium in their diet anyway so in general, 1000-1200mg a day for you (although don't know your age/gender/diet) would probably just be routine preventive care for osteoporosis anyway

I also read that research about calcium supplements helping wt loss and anecdotally I believe it, I think it has some complex cofactor issues w/ satiety, energy levels, and metabolism. Also I try to drink milk and a cup of milk is very filling (sometimes bloating actually). It's also great for PMS and during periods. I also take Viactiv (chocolate, like a tootsie roll)

if you don't have problems w/kidneys or unusual metabolic diseases, calcium supplements can't hurt, can only help (make sure you drink enough water of course)

Hello, Don't forget the vitamin D. A good calcium supplement should contain vitamin D. If it doesn't, you're body will not absorb as much as the calcium you would like. Eventhough we do get vitamin D from the sun, it still needs to be included in your supplement.
