Does anyone else have trouble with sledding? I do from walking up the hills in the cold air.

Going out in to really cold air kills me but if i'm running after my new puppy or sledding with my daughter i'd better have my blue puffer (ventolin)with me or back home i go (or to the hospital if it's really bad .I'm in Canada and right now and it's finally "warmed "up..it's -18 'C as opposed to -38 'C last week ..all week !! :) .Oh to live were it's always warm ...........Nother tip ...always keep a scarf over your nose and mouth if it's really cold ,it helps alot!!

My asthma always flares up in the cold. The cold air resticts & tightens airways resulting in wheezing.

Mine gets bad in cold air. Very twitchy in cold, dry air. But I find more trouble in cold wet air. Try and pretreat before sledding and see if that helps.

If find cold air is very triggering. I gave up sliding, but I love snowmobiling (i've got my own ski-doo and it's right next to my door). I treat it the same as any other trigger.

Do you have something like intal or tilade? if so take that before sliding, same as before sports. If not, use your bronchodilator before and during. Always have rescue medicine on hand. You should be able to slide, so have fun!!!
