I have arthritis in my right hip and other spots. Hip gives me the most grief. I have a history of TTP and my doctor only lets me take asprin and tylenol. He doesn't want me to have any medication unless it is absolutly necessary. For my osterporis I can cnly take over the counter calcium. Searching the internet on arthritis, I came across glucosamine. It sounds like it is a over the counter medicine. Has anyone taken it with any results. Though I would have to talk to my doctor it he would let me take it. Before I talk to him I thought I would get some input from some of you.

Hi,

In the Hellokitty's answers, you will find the info you're looking for.
There is also a treatment which starts to be popular in Europe both for arthritis and osteoporosis, it's the Magnetic Resonance Therapy completed with some algea food supplements. The results are wonderfull.
Sincerely,
Marc
