Hi everyone,
I am 22 and my doc thinks I have RA. I am going in Monday for blood work. I have pain in my hands, neck, hips, groin, and many problems in my back. Isn't this strange for me to only be 22? ANy helpful insight you might have I would greatly appreciate. Thank you http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/heart.gif

Alison,

Was wondering how your doctors appointment went and if you were diagnosed with RA or something else. I go tomorrow for my diagnosis and am starting to get more and more nervous. I hope all is well with you and that you are starting to feel better with medicine or something. Let us know how you are doing!

No, 22 is not an uncommon age for RA. As a matter of fact RA knows no boundaries. Its pretty much a free for all. Women are more likely to get it then men but as far as age you could be 9 or 90 and get RA.

I hope that you get your answers quickly and are pain free soon! There seem to be a lot of us 20 somethings on here lately...too sad!

Hang in there and let us know if you have any questions!

Angela
