Hi guys! I have a medical question for you. I have had 2 knee arthroscopy's because of torn cartilage. My last one was 2 years ago. Well, now my knee is beginning to hurt me again and sounds like a creaky rocking chair when I bend it at very much of an angle. I hear it when I squat down, or when I walk up stairs. Does this sound like torn cartilage again? And if so, is there anything else that can be done for my knee other than arthroscopy. Seems like it injures so easily and I really don't want to keep having surgery after surgery. Any ideas on my knee problems? Thanks in advance! Kim

I have had 9 knee surgeries 6 - left, 3 right
They are a MESS...
Once you start having cartilage removed you get in the mode of having a cleanout every few years to remove any frayed cartilage and to cleanup loose bodies.
It's really a no win situation. Things keep degenerating until the meniscus is basically gone, then maybe the end of the bone (articular cartilage) begins to wear away. If damage is minimal in your knee I would check into meniscus transplants or collagen meniscus implants before undergoing the knife again
