I just cant figure this out. My lips have been so dry they are almost cracking! Ive been putting lip balm on them, but its been days and they dont seem to be getting any better. Ive increased my fluids, thinking I was dehydrated, but Im not so sure.

Could this be a side effect of Prednisone? Ive been on it a month now (1st week-20mg, 2nd week-10mg, 3rd week-20mg, 4th week-40mg) and I start Methotrexate this coming Saturday.

Does this sound like a side effect of the Prednisone? I know that it can deplete your body of calcium, but does it cause dehydration too? My mouth isnt dry and Im not overly thristy (but Im forcing myself to drink hoping my lips will get better).

ya my lips are chapped too and my touge feels weird a bit.. its def the prednisone dont worry.
