View Full Version : Is this a possible side effect of Celebrex?

So, I have been on Celebrex and Plaquenil now for 2 months. I am really starting to feel bettr(I think the Plaquenil is starting to work). However, my ankles are the most swollen joints on my body - especially after a day at work.

It really seems as though the swelling has gotten worse since I started the Celebrex. I remember someone posted a comment like this previously (for Vioxx or Celebrex).

Is this possible? Am I going crazy here? Has this happened to anyone else? I do remember reading something about this as a possible side effect.

Just wondering! TGIF!!!!!!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif

Been on the Celebrex/Plaquenil combo for a few months - haven't had any problems. My liver function was slightly elevated one month, but it has been normal ever since.

There had been some problems with Celebrex when it was initially introduced in the market, but with reformulation, it has had much better response. I think the former poster is referencing the old info on Celebrex.

Regardless, talk to your doctor about it. It might be a side-effect you can live with, but with the swelling, I'm sure your doc is going to want to monitor you to make sure the kidneys and liver are ok.

Good luck and keep us posted.
