I am taking 10mg of Altace *cough* and 60mg of Propanolol (Inderal) and I was wondering if there are any dangers in a)having a few drinks b) eating chocolate (caffeine) or c) taking ibuprofen or others (tylenol) after working out or playing sports to help relax sore muscles? Can anyone let me know if there are dangers with any of these. I drink very very rarely (once or twice a year) but the ibuprofen I take for sore muscles and joints. Thanks in advance.

If you are not allergic to the cholcolate-alcohol connection like I am (miserable migraine inducing combo) you should be just fine doing pretty much whatever you want with these drugs.

Don't take acetaminophen (Tylenol) too regualrly. If you need day in-day out analgesics for pain, aspirin is better. And the alcohol-acetaminophen combo is EXTREMELY hard on the liver- even toxic at near maximum recommended dosages.

An addendum to Zip's always wise advice: Also watch out for Ibuprofen. NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) tends to raise blood pressure. No problem if you need it once in a while but unwise on a regular basis.
