My BP was up 141/92 the last couple of times I've been to the Dr. The Dr. said she would give me a chance to bring it down before meds, as I had gained weight and had been under a lot of stress and tension. I had also quit exercising due to a depression I was going through.
Well, it has come down. My top numbers are in the 120's or 131 is the highest I've read it HOWEVER, my bottom number is always between 85-90.
Any idea why the bottom numbers stay higher while the top number has come down. I'm working out aerobically 2-3 times a week and it is helping....I think!!

sapphira,
Try lowering your salt intake somewhat. I think a higher diastolic (resting) pressure indicates a vascular bed that is just "too full." Lose some of the plasma's water and it should come down somewhat!
Just think of the analogy of a full vs. a half full hose.
