Right now I am feeling pretty good. I slept most of the day. I don't think the demerol works all the time. Right now it is. I think I was able to remove a lot of the white stuff off while eating breakfast this morning. I am still taking Tylenol too. I think I get more relief taking the Tylenol an hour after taking the demerol. I had mashed potatoes and graving from Kentucky Fried Chicken. It was a little too peppery. Tasted good though. I do have a high pain tolerance. I don't think I am in pain, I just don't like the feeling I have when I swallow. The uvula is pretty swollen and the white crap that forms around that area doesn't help any. But I am down 2.5 pounds. :)

When will the swelling go away? My tongue is so bruised from the clamp thing they used to keep it pulled out. For those who have had the surgery, when does swallowing get better?

Hey
I know for me it was about day 10 or 11 when the swallowing pain wise got better however their was still junck around the area so water and someother stuff didn't taste to great. And I couldn't drink juice or eat anything spicy for about 2 months after (Im just now able to get back to that stuff). Swelling with the uvula will be about 7days after that the swelling shouldn't be as noticble. Good luck keep me posted.
