I didn't know where to post this... this is the closest board I could find to maybe get an answer to my question...
Ok, so I drank in my friend's dorm last night and had about 6-7 shots total (in about 2 hours) and ended up puking (a LOT)... I never throw up... Everything was spinning and I was freaking out (having trouble breathing, etc)... my friend told me I puked up blood...
Anyway, I passed out on my friend's floor and woke up this morning feeling... strange. My hands are tingly and numb... I keep getting a tingling sensation in my fingers, toes, lips, etc... and I just feel drained (typical after a rough night).
But, anyway, I was just wondering what would cause me to get the numbness, tingling in my fingers/toes, etc...? I don't think anyone could have slipped me anything because my drinks were all straight from the bottle... I just drank shots of UV, vodka, and 99 Bananas...
Did I possibly have alcohol poisoning? Is there something wrong w/ my blood sugar?
Any ideas or help is appreciated!!! Thanks. :)

just be happy you weren't shaking (DT's) that's happened to me in the past before I pretty much gave up heavy liquor consumption.
lessen learned: don't mix meds with alcohol or other drugs. i've never vomited blood. that's pretty bad. take your B complex vitamins too. check with a doctor...

Yes, your blood sugar is low due to your liver slowing down its breakdown of glycogen in favor of ethanol oxidation to acetalaldehyde, which further damages your liver.
Alcohol poisoning can be a grey area. Were you too drunk? Yes. Are you alive? Yes. Some might say yes, some might say no, but next time just take it easy.
I would suggest taking a B complex vitamin and some anti-oxidants incase you still have some metabolites floating around in your liver. Drink a lot of powerade and try to get something with alot of complex carbs in you. If you have milk thistle, try that too.
The numb extremities happen to me all of the time when I drink a little to much. I'm not sure of the exact cause, but I have a feeling it is minor (reversible) nerve damage.

Thanx for responding! I'm glad the numbness has happened to someone else besides me... My friends keep worrying me about it and I'm a little worried... My left hand fingers are still numb/tingly... but I guess I'll just wait it out.
I also found that the bottle of 99 Bananas had been sitting open in a fridge for awhile, so could this possibly be bacteria related?
Thanx!

I doubt any bacteria can live in alcohol that is that strong. You'll be fine, I've been in much worse situations than you have and have come out alright, just give yourself a break for a few days and try and eat right.
