I just made an appointment with a Holistic doctor, does any one have any experience with this type of doctor. The appointment is at 1:30, I am little apprehensive. Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi Sandra- Sorry, no experience with holistic doctors, but don't be apprehensive. If this doctor is also an M.D. this could be very interesting and helpful. Also remember, trust your gut. If he/she reeks of quackery, you'll know. The ideal "mix would be a physician who is an M.D. who also incorporates holistic modalities into their approach to the patient.

Sandra,
Along with zuzu, I agree that an MD with a holistic approach is highly desirable.
BUT there are lots of non-MD's out there mimicking doctors. The downside is that they CANNOT prescribe drugs nor actually diagnose disease legally and since they MUST do SOMETHING to earn money you might get a "candida" or "leaky gut syndrome" diagnosis and a zillion dollars worth of "supplements"...or worse yet, find out all about your misaligned "chakras and chi."
So it depends on his qualifications.

You won't believe the experience I had with this "Holistic Doctor". First, he is not a medical doctor. He is an Irislogists. He looks at your Irises and determines which organs need strenght. After looking at mine, he did and said he saw some strange activity in my left breast. Fortunately I had a mammogram 2 months earlier. He sold me (yes I bought it) some Red Clover drops, and some bowel cleaser and said that shouuld clear it up the problem in my breast. He never directly subscribe anything for my pressure. By the way at the end I was out $200.00! He wants me to come back in two weeks, to make sure that the activity in my breast has stopped. I was so spooked I made the appointment. But the next day I came to my senses and cancelled it.
