I am a fair skinned guy with freckles that show mostly on my upper arms and across my back. My face has freckles also but the redness covers them up? I would like to get a tan without making my freckles worse and darker? I have done alot of research on melanocytes. I was just wondering if I took bleaching pills, would My complexion fade along with my freckles? I'm practically albino as it is. I also have rough bumps on my upperarms. A surgeon said that it was sun poisioning and they would either go away or turn to freckles. This has been about 5 years ago. I don't think he knew much about what he was talking about. I just want to have perfect skin and hopefully get a darker complexion or at least all the same of 1 complexion please help me if you have any possible suggestions?

Have you considered the spray on tan?
I've done it myself and love it. I don't have your skin type but I feel it is safer than the UV rays.
It's called MYSTIC tan and most salons are offering it now.
You stand naked in a small room, it sprays you down in the front for about 8 seconds, then you turn and it sprays for another 8 seconds.
After about an hour you see the difference!
Just word of caution, don't do it when it's raining outside and don't touch water for about 6 hrs after...otherwise you get streaks. (they give you all this detail when you go)

Just a thought...it may be the safest for you if you want your skin darker.

I doubt you'd tan under the lights because of how fair you say you are, you'd just burn and that's leading to trouble.

Good luck in whatever you decide though.

Well I have tried that and it just doesn't look natural on me. I used to be able to tan in the tanning beds but I'm afraid that my conditions will worsen. The mystic tan doesn't blend well with my enlarged pores so I haven't done that. I read an issue on using flax oil and I am currently trying that method now and I hope it works but thanks for your advice

I feel you pain- I am fair skinned and freckle in the sun- after 20+ years of trying to figure it out- I gave up, and just accept the fact that if I am in the sun- I am going to have freckles. I have found that I don't freckle as much under the tanning lights as I do in the natural sunlight though.
