i just read that there are two types of pcos...i just had 2 ultrasounds done...one the normal jelly on the belly one and the other, transvaginal...my gyno also ordered up a lot of blood tests...what tests should be done for both types of pcos? does the doc normally do these or must i inform her of that? thanks again!

Yes, I believe that there are two types of PCOS, although they both involvie androgen production. Take a look at this thread http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=148416 and the links and let me know if that helps you some.
