Hi,

Over the last 3 months have started suffering pain/discomfort in my neck shoulders.

Typically
- dull ache around C7/T1 first thing in morning
- discomfort then moves up to base of skull
- around mid-day, neck muscles ache and there are sensitive points on each side of my neck
- from 1600hrs on, usually virtually no symptoms till late at night, and then a slight discomfort at base of skull
- around 0400, usually wake with discomfort from really tense neck/headache etc.

An X-ray shows "some osteoarthritic changes in C7/T1".

I'm very fit, 46, with no particularly damaging occupation etc. Everyone probably suffers osteoarthritic changes at around my age, so I'm wondering if my symptoms are really osteoarthritis since I have no problems with movement or exercise.

Anyone had similar symptoms?
