Anybody have experience with High Intensity Training (sometimes called Super Slow) workouts?

I have done 5-8 second reps, but never the 15 second reps in *super* slow HIT. It's a good way to add some size, but since there is a lot of focus on the eccentric movement, you generally need more than 1 day recovery. 2 or 3 at least. I used this method when cutting to maintain and even build a little mass while dropping the fat. Worked extremely well.

Do you think it is a good method for someone just starting out and looking more for weight loss rather than bulking up?

No. HIT is not a good beginner program and certainly not for weight loss as a goal. Slow controlled reps, maybe up to 2 seconds up and 2 seconds down to get some toned muscle mass and increase metabolism. The rest will be cardio and diet.

i disagree, i say if u can handle the 1st HIIT session and enjoy it.. do it.. it will burn fat like crazy.. ur metabolism will be soaring high and u will burn fat all day.. my friend who i havent seen in 4 months lost over 40 lbs in 2 months by eating a healthy 1300 cal diet and doing HIIT 4 times a week for 20 min ... i started this yesterday.. and i think ill be sticking with this.. just set the speed intervals to ur own levels.. HIIT is the most quickest method to shed fat off.. do HIIT and eat healthy and u will lose fat easily :)

HIT, not HIIT
