My mom and I recently purchased Youthful Essence to see what it'd be like... I used it for the first time yesterday. I have acne-prone skin (though it's quite clear right now), and TONS of red marks from past breakouts. I'm hoping this will help fade the red marks to make my skin tone more even.

Have any of you tried an at-home microdermabrasion kit before? Did you notice any difference in your skin tone?? I'm looking for any kind of feedback!

I've been using home microdermabrasion for about a year now. I wish I had better news for you - but don't expect to see a lot of changes in the old scars. I've seen some reduction in fine lines - but microdermabrasion isn't the only thing I use - I also use copper peptides, salicylic acid, a mix of jojoba oil & essential oils, and I just added glycolic peels.

You will notice that your skin will feel smoother & the exfoliation will help make your pores smaller & keep them clear - but I don't know of anyone who has achieved major results with home microdermabrasion.

Another thing - be careful not to use too much pressure - this can irritate acne-prone skin & cause breakouts. Let the machine do the work. Another suggestion - be careful about the microdermabrasion cream you use - they are not all made equal - some can cause breakouts.

I use BeautiControl's home Microderm Abrasion kit and I LOVE it. It has helped my skin. I have large pores and tiny bumps on my forehead and it has helped it.

It got rid of the bumps? I have bumps on my forehead that stick out even more when I put makeup there and I hate it. I also have clogged pores in my nose and chin. I exfoliate 99% of the time I wash my face. Would it really get rid of the bumps?

It is making them less noticiable. Not there yet have been using the product for about a month.
