should i put it just on the ends? how long do i leave it on for? and how much do i use? like if i was using a dropper how many drops?

You can put it all over or only the ends. You may need to use a clarifying shampoo a few times to get it out if you used too much, or try baking soda mixed with your shampoo.
I leave it on overnite, or a few hours or I use it in the morning as a styling aid and slick my hair into a ponytail.
I apply with a qtip to my scalp. I never used almond oil but have used olive and jojoba. Maybe try a different type of oil if you found almond too heavy.

It sounds like you used too much. I usually use jojoba, but almond & jojoba are about the same consistency. I usually put about 10 drops of oil in my cupped hand, then lightly rub my palms together. Then I start with the ends of my hair - lean forward, put one hand on one side of my hair, the other hand on the other side of my hair, push my palms together & run my hands over the ends. I repeat this entire process 3 times - right side, left side, & back - using a total of 30 drops. Next, I put 10 more drops in my hands & smooth my hands over my hair from the roots down - and I only use 10 drops for the entire head from the roots down to where I have already applied the oil. Then I run my hands through my hair several times, and twist it up & away from my face & neck - using a clip to hold it.
I usually leave the oil on for about 20-30 minutes. Then shampoo as usual. I never have to shampoo more than twice to remove the oil.
If you tend to have oily hair, you may want to switch to jojoba oil. Jojoba oil will help balance the oil production.

I've never heard of putting oil on hair....maybe I should try it. I can use olive oil? And can I do it at night, when my hair is dirty? My hair is pretty normal...not too oily, not too dry, but I do blow dry it every day, and sometimes I wash it too much.
Thanks,
Karina

i think coconut oil is the best...traditionally it has been used in India since years by a majority of people which is why they generally have thick healthy hair.
