I'm using mircette birth control pills. After researching this on these boards, I have found that some women had trouble with them. I know everyone is different and different pills work for different people. A few women complained of the pill not doing its job anymore. Their symptoms included spotting between periods, and longer, more heavier periods as well. I've been on mircette for about 9 months now and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. If I did start having problems (spotting and longer periods), does this make my chance of getting pregnant while on the BCP higher?

The difference is the weight of the person and the mcg of estrogen in the bcp. Mircette is an ultra low dose and since you are not having any problems I bet you are thin - under 130 pounds. The more you weigh the more estrogen you need in a bcp to prevent against pregnancy. Most women need 35 mcg of estrogen.
