I am 1 week post op today. :) I had a fusion oof my great toe. Yesterday, I had a difficult day. My foot and leg was twitching all day, almost like I was having muscle spasms. oday it seems to have calmed down a bit. I have not experienced that with any of my prior surgeries. Has anyone else that happen before?

I had a lot of twitching after my bunionectomy and Brostrom repair that came and went. I think the muscles and tendons are just re-adjusting themselves, especially if they are confined by a cast or anything. My ankle will still occassionally twitch, when I asked my Dr. about it, his thoughts were that the tendons were just repositioning themselves.

How's your toe doing. My fusion is in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for your response. I do have a cast on, so I guess the twitching is pretty normal. I am feeling good - no pain meds in the last 24 hours. :cool: I go see me dr tomorrow so I will post an update then. Good luck with your surgery.
